Sound Production for Everyone provides a basic understanding of producing sound with a digital audio workstation (DAW). Students will learn how to set levels and panning, use basic audio processing such as equalization, compression, and reverb, and perform fundamental production techniques, such as recording, playing virtual instruments, and sequencing. Students will always be guided through the beginnings of their own sound production projects, such as a piece of music, a podcast episode, or a DJ set.
Participants will need a digital device (laptop, tablet, phone) to access BandLab, a free online digital audio workstation. Please contact T@sidestreet.org if you need help accessing a device for this workshop. Create a free BandLab account ahead of the workshop or arrive early to do so.
MASKS REQUIRED.
