Mobile Woodworking Classes

We use mobility to meet folks where they are.

In our woodworking program, students will learn the basics of woodworking, using only hand tools! They will learn woodworking techniques such as sanding, sawing, shaping, drilling, setting screws, using clamps, hammering, and incising.

Our woodworking program is taught on our newly renovated mobile buses and trailers. Each classroom has individual adjustable workbenches equipped with all supplies needed, including hand tools, hardware, and safety equipment— everything needed to create a multitude of woodworking projects.

We offer a variety of woodworking classes, including free onsite first-come first-serve classes, ongoing series, and private events. Check our class schedule below.

Grant Funded Youth Woodworking

Youth Woodworking Series

To ensure Side Street Projects' sustainability and maintain accessibility to art for everyone, we are returning to our woodworking fee-for-service model after a five-year hiatus.

Purchasing a class for a kid supports our ability to continue free community and youth educational programming in Pasadena and Altadena.

*Our Spring Break Intensive Woodworking Series is aligned with PUSD’s Spring Break schedule to give students an extensive experience learning the art of woodworking. When you sign up for both morning and afternoon classes, receive a 10% discount. Reach out to stephanie@sidestreet.org before purchase to receive the discount code.
