Introduction to Woodcarving Spoons

In “Introduction to Woodcarving Spoons” Teaching Artists Max Geldman & Daniel Gaines led a two-part series on carving wooden spoons.

The workshop provided templates, design guides, and lessons on using carving knives, gouges, hand files, and the bandsaw to make a finished wooden spoon. Wood pieces and hand tools were provided, but participants were encouraged to bring their own tools.
