Artist-In-Residence with Side Street Projects Ching Ching Cheng's year-long project, Book of Space exhibition titled “Drape With The Skin Of Light” is opening this June. Inspired by a folktale originating from China about a farm girl falling in love with the sun, this multimedia project explores the meanings and influences of Chinese and Taiwanese folktales and the impact on the generational relationships between the past, the present, and the future. Ching used glove puppet making to teach youth in the community of Pasadena the importance of its cultural significance in storytelling.
