COVID-19

Side Street Statement

The health and safety of our community is our highest priority. Side Street Projects is following the lead of government agencies in real time as COVID-19 conditions evolve. We are following the lead of PUSD and are currently postponing all in-person programming for the time being..

Here is the statement from PUSD: https://www.pusd.us/Page/8303

Stay tuned for updates on “En Movimiento” with Jose Richard Aviles, and “The Moving Project” with Michael Rippens. Our artists are currently developing virtual aspects of these projects. Updates are available on the Artist Residency page: https://www.sidestreet.org/artist-residency

All youth education and community programming is currently on hold, but we will be sharing and syndicating content so that we can continue to support artists and connect through hands-on art making from the safety of their own homes. Follow us on: Facebook and Instagram

The Artists at Side Street Projects work to bring people together. Many of them work multiple public facing jobs. We are very concerned about the well being of our teaching artists. If you have any artists in your life, please reach out and support them.

This is a very fluid situation at this time, and things will continue to evolve. We will continue to follow the lead of medical professionals and government agencies and keep you all updated. Meanwhile we are all working to stay safe and connected in this time of physical separation.
