Steve Roden

“Each a Quarter of a Quartet” (2014)
Variable Edition of 150 water-based archival screen printing ink on cotton paper (each: approximately 20”x14”). Screened images were blown up from tiny images of audio speakers from a 1950’s audiophile magazine. Each of the four images was printed on one of four different papers; and each print has been uniquely re-worked by Roden including elements of hand rendering in pencil, ink, crayon, and collage – rendering each piece unique – and the whole much more like a body of work than an edition.
