“Numbers and Trees: Project 1 Edition” by Charles Gaines.
21″ h X 17″ w. Inkjet print

For his contribution to Side Street Projects annual Phantom Ball Print Edition, Gaines continues his Numbers and Trees series, which he began in 1985. The series is comprised of works that successively plot the shape of trees on top of one another. Since this is the beginning of a new sub series within Numbers and Trees, you see only one tree plotted on the grid. This print comes from an ink on paper drawing, made especially for this print edition.
