Artist Daniel Bisuano's residency I am not my Ancestor’s mistakes explored the interdependent relationship between oneself and the community through photo images and a short film based on participant anecdotes.

Daniel understands the significance of connection and how it impacts the trajectory of an individual's life. His intention with the production of the short 10-minute video was to capture the influence of harmonious relationships by collecting raw unscripted stories of community members' vulnerable and healing experiences, and how the act of collective care propelled them to move forward through life adversities.

Daniel completed the short film and screened it for a group of art students at Rose City High School.

BIO

Daniel Bisuano expresses how we all have a story to tell, a life to live, and sometimes we have hope and inspiration to instill in those who have lost it.

He was that person who lost hope, faith, and inspiration. People saw in him what he could not, now it’s his turn to do the same. Bisuano is a creative, entrepreneur, actor, model, and writer shedding light on issues that are swept under the rug. He wants to create a platform for people who have been through the struggles he’s been through.

Bisuano understands how homelessness, hopelessness, and a lack of self-acceptance is a thing, and it’s time to do something about it. Stand and fight with him to build bridges, create hope, and show the world what we are made of through our ART.
